Key Intervention Areas
Safety
Children receive safety training and visits from a Christian caseworker to ensure they live in a safe and caring environment.
Health
Children receive regular health checks and medical care, as well as access to food support as necessary.
Education
Children access education through school uniform and fee assistance, and caseworker visits for a bright future.
Spiritual Care
Children connect with a church mentor and receive Scripture resources to heal wounds and experience God’s love.
Ways to Make an Impact
We partnered with researchers from Baylor University and Dr. Byron Johnson to evaluate the impact of our programs. While stories of transformation were abundant, we wanted concrete evidence. The study confirmed that our efforts significantly increase prisoners’ religious engagement, motivation for personal growth, and the development of virtues.
In short, it’s proven to foster positive change from within. Participants reported fewer negative emotions, reduced aggression, and a contribution to safer prison environments.
Securing Key Materials Despite Challenges
Like many of our partners, Compassion Wyoming has faced challenges in securing printed materials for our programs. However, through effective management and community support, we received a generous donation from a local organization, covering the needed resources to successfully complete a quarter of program activities
